Effective May 1, 2025, the Village of Bensenville has implemented new municipal utility rates. For detailed information about the updated rates, please click here.
For questions regarding your bill amount, consumption, payment verification or final bill, please call 630-594-1011 or e-mail us at UtilityBilling@bensenville.il.us. Our office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tuesday, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and available Saturday hours can be viewed here. We are located at 12 S. Center, Bensenville, IL 60106.
- In case of water and sewer line emergencies contact the Public Works Department at 630-350-3435.
- For after-hours water emergencies, please call the non-emergency Police Department number at 630-350-3455.
- New water and sewer extensions may require permits obtained through the Community & Economic Development Department at 630-350-3413.
To make a payment, go to Online Payments, mail your payment in, bring it in person to Village Hall Finance Department counter, or drop it off at the curbside collection box.
***WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE***
Penalty of 10% of the bill amount will be assessed on all bills if payment is not received by the due date indicated on your bill.
To finalize your account or start a new account you will need to submit the applications below at least three days prior to closing or moving out/move in date. The applications must be signed and may be e-mailed to utilitybilling@bensenville.il.us or submitted in person. *Both applications must be received prior to the closing or moving out/move in date in order for us to process the accounts*.
Final readings are obtained online unless your radio reader is not working in which case we will need to schedule an appointment to obtain a manual read.
Final Bills are processed on the day of the closing and must be paid prior to closing to prevent account finalizing delays and potential service disconnection. Final Bills are either e-mailed with payment instructions or are available at the Village Hall Finance Department counter on the day of closing or moving out/move in date.
To pay your Final Bill, go to Online Payments or bring your payment in person to Village Hall Finance Department counter.
***FINAL BILLS MUST BE PAID IN PERSON OR ONLINE ONLY– CHECKS CANNOT BE MAILED IN***WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE***
***When selling property a RETI (Real Estate Transfer Inspection) is required if the property has been vacant for 120 days or more. This inspection must be scheduled prior to closing. To schedule the inspection contact the Village’s Community & Economic Development Department at 630-350-3413.***
