During week of July 31, the general contractor installed planter boxes and stamped concrete sidewalk on the north side of Main St. The underground contractor finished the water service transfers as well as connection to the new watermain at Main St and Roosevelt Ave.
Weather permitting, week of August 7, the general contractor is scheduled to perform removals on the south side of Main St while the underground contractor will begin the sanitary and storm improvements at the intersection of Addison/Roosevelt intersection. The intersection will be closed during work hours while this work is being performed. See attached map.
Nicor’s contractor NPL worked on installation of the new main this week but ran into conflicts with AT&T fiber optic. This fiber optic needs to be relocated which will delay finishing Nicor’s work by 2-3 weeks. They will be offsite until AT&T has relocated the fiber so Nicor can come back and abandon the old main. AT&T is scheduled to perform its work the week of Aug 7, 2017.
