Metra is planning to perform crossing repair work at Addison St between Aug 5-14, 2020. This crossing will be closed during that time. Below is the timeline provided for the work and attached is a detour plan. The detour will be using Center St. All work is weather permitting.
- Wednesday 8/5/20 – Close the road crossing and saw-cut pavement
- Thursday/Friday - Remove the asphalt and crossing rubber
- Saturday/Sunday - Replace the tracks
- Monday - Final track adjustments
- Tuesday/Wednesday – install our new standard crossing concrete pads instead of the existing rubber
- Thursday - Asphalt
- Friday 8/14/20 – Open the road crossing
